'Twas the Day After Christmas

Here are some pictures from the day after Chriatmas at Ma and Pap's house.  As usual, they are in no particular order.

As shown in a previous post, Lorelai and Sierra were given homemade beds for their American Girl dolls.  This year they both got the Doll of the Year, McKenna.  In order to keep the dolls straight as to whose was whose, Ma had the idea to give the dolls middle names that were the same as their owners.  Here is Lorelai with her doll, McKenna Catherine.
One of Miller's repeated requests on his Christmas list was a blue dinosaur - Ta Da!!!
Our Christmas tradition always includes spaghetti for dinner.

Sierra and McKenna Michele in her fur headband and leotard.
Enjoying a chocolatey treat.
 Sweet cousins.
Miller getting his cars from Ma.  These cars/trucks were a hit and provided entertainment for all 4 kids throughout the evening.
The strapping young Jacob boys.
A picture-perfect family moment.

Something Super Special

This year Lorelai and Sierra were given extra special presents when we celebrated Christmas at Ma and Pap's house.  They each received a doll bed specially made by Pap and the linens were handmade by Ma.  They also each received McKenna, an American Girl doll and her complete starter kit.  Talk about two very lucky girls!

 "Sssshhhhh!  Our babies are sleeping."

Christmas Day 2012

Here are some more pictures from Christmas Day at my parents' house.  These were taken once Ma and Pap arrived.

The Miller Man and Pap.
 Lorelai and Ma.
 Me with my sweet Miller.

Our wild and crazy kiddos.  I tried to get a good picture of both of them in the shirts my aunt made for them, but they never came out quite right.  Miller's is nicely showcased but I didn't get a good picture of Lorelai's until later in the day.
Dan was as sick as a dog on Christmas Day but he was still kind enough to pose for a picture with his wife.
 The grandmothers.
Waiting very patiently for the flames to make the windmill move.  It never happened.  :(
Here is the Christmas shirt my Aunt Carol made for Lorelai.

Working Out the Kinks

Well, just when I thought I'd worked out all of the kinks with this new uploading pictures deal, I get hit with a few more snags.  I used to be able to upload pictures in the order that the events happened or in the order of my choosing, now they just get uploaded in no particular order.  Hope this post is still entertaining.  I'll keep working on fine-tuning my blogging skills.

On Christmas morning, after all of the presents had been opened at Casa de Jacob, we headed over to my parents' house for more Christmas cheer.

Lorelai's big gift was a Monster High bike.  She was over-the-moon excited!
Her exact words when she saw what was under this wrapping paper were, "This is interesting."  It was a Crayola Glow Dome that she and Miller love playing with.
Our budding golfer and his set of left-handed golf clubs...not the toy kind.

Seeing her bike being wheeled around the corner.
 Sporting some Christmas headgear.
Another reaction to her big girl bike.
Opening her 5th Monster High doll of the day.

A Loophole

WE'RE BAAAAAAAACK!!!!!  After many inquiries put out into the great beyond (also known as cyberspace) I received a very helpful reply about a loophole to get this blog back up and running.  Here are some pictures of Lorelai enjoying her new iPod and Monster High headphones that she got for Christmas.

Technical Difficulties

I'm having trouble uploading pictures right now, so please bear with me as I try to get these kinks worked out.    Hope to be back up and running soon!

The Magic of Christmas Morning

On Christmas morning we awoke to a partially eaten cookie, some of the chocolate milk was gone, and Santa had left the key that he used to get in on the table.
Here are pictures of the kids' trees before they tore into the goodies underneath.

Lorelai's
Miller's
The faces that make all the craziness worthwhile.
The first of many Monster High gifts that Lorelai received.  Her huge smiles became accompanied by screams as the morning progressed.
See what I mean?!

Miller's reactions were much more understated, but just as sweet and genuine.
