Trying Something New

So this year instead of dyeing eggs we painted eggs.  It went pretty well, although it was still equally as messy.  Not sure which technique we'll try next Easter.

Chillin' at the Frog

Over Spring Break Lorelai and I made a special visit to blueberry frog to enjoy a nice frozen treat.  Of course we picked a day to venture out when it was 40 degrees and raining ~ go figure!  Although the weather wasn't quite ideal, I have a firm philosophy that it is never too cold for ice cream!

I found this super cute application on my iPhone that puts excellent quality face paint on existing pictures.  Pretty cool, huh?

Fun With Frames

So, having free time with my iPhone over Spring Break has proved to be both fun and possibly my downfall.  While some of the stuff I'm able to download might actually come in handy in my day-to-day life, some of it is strictly for recreational purposes.  For example, I found this super cool application that lets me edit pictures and frame them, turn them into collages, etc.  Here are the fruits of my labor.

Before the Hunt (Or Lack Thereof)

On Saturday we all piled into Grandmother Catherine's van to head to Holy Cross Catholic Church for the blessing of the food and an Easter egg hunt.  The blessing took place, but unbeknownst to us the hunt had been canceled.  Even though the day didn't go quite as planned I still got a few pictures of Miller before we got on the road. 

A "Wicked"ly Good Time

Yesterday Lorelai and I headed to Charlotte, NC for what I hope will become an annual tradition of sorts.  For the past year and a half Lorelai has been obsessed with the musical "Wicked."  She has the CD and the companion book to the broadway show, "The Grimmerie."  She knows the words to just about every song and for a five-year-old has an amazing grasp of the story.  When I saw that the show was going to be touring nearby I couldn't pass up the chance to take her to see it.

 After the show we went outside to wait for the cast at the stage door.  She got autographs and had her picture made with sevral of the principal actors/actresses.

The Easter Bunny brought Lorelai some money to spend on souvenirs at the play.  She used her money to buy a stuffed animal of the flying monkey, Chistery.  Here she is with the two Chisterys.
