New Arrival

 

Presenting the newest member of the Jacob clan ~ Alestia (pronounced uh-LES-tee-uh)!  We picked her up at the Humane Society last night and Lorelai was kind enough to give her the eccentric name.  She is a gorgeous 7-month-old kitten who is a perfect addition to our family.  Her card stated that she was sassy ~ what a great match for Lorelai ~ and her caregiver at the Humane Society informed us that she had figured out how to open up her cage on her own.  Crafty, this one!  Her first official portraits are below (trust me, Alestia, there will be plenty more where this one came from).   This picture does a pretty good job of capturing how pretty she is, although the glowing eyes give it a creepy factor. 

No creepy eyes, but perhaps not as great of a picture to showcase how pretty she is.

She loves to chase after balls and is a very child-friendly playmate for Lorelai and Miller.

 Fitting right in with our family she was immediately glued to the TV!

True Love

Lorelai's boyfriend, Brennen, came to watch her at gymnastics today.  A 5-year-old boy sitting through a gymnastics class, all for his "best girl."  Now that's what I call true love!

Our Little Vampire

Before Miller joined our crazy, fun family we had the ultrasound to find out if we were having a boy or a girl.  Much to our surprise, the technician was nice enough to do some 3-D pictures, also. 

 

When I captioned this ultrasound photo a few years ago I said that he was channeling his inner Dracula.  I thought he looked like a vampire pulling his cape across his face.

Perhaps I should take up performing psychic readings in my spare time.  :)

Another Atha's Adventure

Every now and again Sierra and Chase go to church with Ma and Pap on Saturday night.  Per tradition, everyone goes to Atha's after Mass for dinner.  A few years ago I posted pictures of one of these weekly treks right after Chase was born.  Wow ~ how these years have flown by!!

Chase Turns 4!!

Having A Ball

Back in the spring we went to Heritage Park with Grandmother and Granddaddy.  Before heading to the playground the kids played some basketball at the picnic grounds.
