Does Life Get Any Sweeter?

Reunited!

Maria, Miller's girlfriend since forever, transferred to a new day care back in the spring.  He's bummed that he doesn't get to see her everyday, but they had a sweet little reunion when we were invited to her brother's birthday party last weekend.

Fall Festival Fun

The first Friday in October we went to Fall Festival at St. Mary's.  As always it was an absolute blast!  I didn't get a ton of pictures because Lorelai spent most of her time on the inflatable slides and inside bouncy houses (which makes picture taking tricky).  However, when her feet finally did hit solid ground I was able to snap a few pics here and there.

Finally, I had to take a picture of the cupcake that Lorelai won for me at the cake walk.  I know a cupcake doesn't sound like much, but wait 'til you see the size of this thing!  I placed it next to a fork as a point of reference so you could get an idea of how huge it really was!

Peace Signs and Purple Cake

Last weekend Lorelai went to a birthday party for one of our old neighbors.  She was turning 10 and everything was covered in peace signs and bright colors.  Lorelai is really into peace sign decor so this was right up her alley.

While she was eating lunch her crown managed to get tangled in her hair.  Me being the good mother that I am, I took a picture of her before offering my assistance.

Campfire Girl

While Lorelai was at a birthday party last weekend they set up a campfire in the woods.  Lorelai was so excited when she found out that she could throw some logs on the fire and roast marshmallows.

Vignettes from the V-Tech

Several Christmases ago Lorelai was given a V-Tech camera from Ma and Pap.  From day one she has been snapping pictures left and right.  Can't imagine who she learned that from?  :o)  Anyway, the other day I loaded all of the pictures onto my computer and edited a few of the clearer ones.  Since it doesn't auto-focus like other cameras most of them were pretty fuzzy.

 She put the moustache on with the V-Tech software on her own camera.

Pretty in Pink

A few weekends ago Lorelai went to a birthday party at Snip-Its in Greenville.  It was, by far, one of the best parties we've ever been invited to.

 

First, each girl got to pick out a pretty dress and had a fancy up-do done to match.

Next, a make-up station was set up for each girl so they could get all dolled up.

How gorgeous!!

The final piece to the makeover was getting their nails polished.

Finally, they got to do a fashion show down the red carpet ~  runway ready!

Everything's Coming Up Roses

Lorelai's sweet boyfriend, Brennen, is up to his old tricks again.  First, he gave her a few bouquets of wildflowers over the summer.  Next, he came to watch her at gymnastics.  His most recent act of sweetness came in the form of bringing her roses to their afterschool play date.  He's definitely a keeper.  

Some Things Never Change

While our little boy's hair has gotten lighter and he's growing up right before our eyes, once he's snuggled in bed he reminds me of the sweet baby boy we brought home 3 years ago.
