Grandma Elinor Jacob's Celebration of Life

The last day of our trip to Pittsburgh was the main reason we went up north.  We had a Celebration of Life for Dan's grandmother Elinor.  She passed away at the beginning of January.  The celebration was a lovely event and allowed relatives from far and wide come together to have a celebration of family.

 Miller and his cousin, Hank.

The dessert table had every treat you can imagine.

 My two best guys.

Three of the four Jacob siblings.

Dan's Dream Come True - Or As Close As We Could Get

So on our trip to Pittsburgh the city was booming with excitement that the Penguins had made the playoffs.  During our day of sightseeing we went to Consol Energy Center - Home of the Pittsburgh Penguins!  We couldn't get past the main vestibule but Dan and the kids had a blast looking around at the player bios from years past and present and taking in some local history.  I enjoyed seeing his excitement...like a kid in a candy store.

Dan is in the reflection in the glass above Miller's head.  He kind of looks like an apparition.

Love how I caught her braid swinging.

Dan took these as he was driving the car while we were leaving the arena.  Clearly we're all about "Safety First."
