Party Pictures-Part 3

In between Miller's party and Lorelai's party we celebrated Pap's birthday.  It was a small family gathering at Ma and Pap's to celebrate one of our favorite guys.  Everyone hung out, chatted, and the kids even played outside in some water toys that Dan bought for the special occasion.

 

Party Pictures - Part 2

Our sweet girl turned 8  on August 7th and we celebrated with a Creepy Crawly Critter Party.  My good friend Jennifer, who also happens to be Lorelai's good friend Ashlyn's mom, made Lorelai's completely amazing bug cake!!

 The pre-show, which starts 30 minutes before the actual party begins, consists of special creatures that only the birthday kids and the early arrivals get to experience.

The close-up reactions of Lorelai and Miller when  the Critter Keeper brought out a really cool creature.

 I finally got to hold a tarantula.  I have been waiting for two years to get to do it.

 I even got a sticker that boasts, "I held a tarantula."

 Lorelai's friend Ashlyn with a lizard that looks just like Toothless from "How to Train Your Dragon."

Abigail, Lorelai's friend from Girl Scouts, stayed outside on Ma and Pap's new screened-in porch but watched through an open window.

Time to hold Julius Squeezer.

Lisa didn't want to hold Julius so she decided to hold one from the cake instead.
