The Tooth Fairy Cometh

On Monday Lorelai had a holiday from school.  While she and my mom were at the mall Lorelai pulled out her first loose tooth!  It had been wiggly for weeks, but the big day finally arrived.  Here is our very own toothless wonder.  (Forgive her "cheesy" grin, but when you have a child whose usual smile shows no teeth it's tricky to get them to smile with a giant toothy grin ~ minus one.)  She awoke the next morning to find $1 under pillow.  She was ecstatic!

Killing Time

On Wednesday nights Lorelai has hop hop class and CCD (the Catholic version of Sunday school.)  Normally Miller stays with Dan while I cart Lorelai around, but this week Dan is on a golf trip so I dragged poor Miller with me on my weekly trek.  Since each class is only an hour long, and it's too far to drive all the way home in between, Miller and I killed time taking self-portraits on my cell phone.
These posted out of order, but after dance class and before CCD, Lorelai and I had time for a few pictures, too.  The others didn't turn out well, so this is the only one that made the cut.  ( I love how Miller is peeking over the back of the chair to look at himself in the rearview mirror.)
My sweet, sweet boy.

Blessings

Here are a few cute pictures that I took while we were at the Scarecrow Festival in Pendleton.  I am so blessed to have such a beautiful family.

A "Scare-y" Saturday

Every year Pendleton has a fall festival complete with dressed up scarecrows.  This year we decided to check it out.

A Few Fun, Fall Photos

Fall is my most favorite season, and the fact that it goes hand in hand with Halloween makes me a very happy girl.  Here are a few pictures I've taken over the past week of my sweet angels in some of their Halloween attire.
These are some tights that a very good friend of mine gave Lorelai.  She wanted to make sure I got a good picture of her legwear so she flipped up her skirt.  Don't worry, the skirt has shorts built in.

Here's Miller on his way to a birthday party after Dan had taken him to get a haircut.  The stylist gave him a fun, spiky hairdo.  Miller informed me that all of the girls at the party were going to love his 'do!

Ready to Strut Her Stuff

Lorelai has always loved to be in the limelight.  Since she was very small she has adored pretending to be on stage and loved putting on shows for her family and friends.  This past Saturday she started taking modeling/etiquette classes.  She is definitely showing signs of a star in the making.  Hopefully this will open lots of doors for her in the future.  Here are a few pictures that I snapped on Saturday before we headed off for her first day of class.

Our Very Own American Girl

Back in July, Lorelai auditioned to be a model in an American Girl fashion show.  After many weeks of  waiting anxiously we found out that she got the gig.  She practiced many weeknights and Saturday afternoons and it all paid off this past Sunday when she got to make her modeling debut.  She was a contemporary model who carried a Bitty Baby in the first half of the show and a Bitty Twin during the second half.  She was amazingly poised and you could just tell that she loved being on stage.  I predict we will see her name in lights one day.

Our Little Happy Fish

Last week my mom went to Savannah and made a stop over on Tybee Island.  She picked up these "Happy Fish" shirts for the kids.  They both wore them to school today so I snapped a few pictures with my camera phone before we headed out the door.
