Both kids received guitars for Christmas. Before we headed out to visit my parents on Christmas Day they had an impromptu jam session in their bean bags.

Sparkle and Shine
Another one of our Christmas traditions has become making reindeer food. We combine instant oatmeal and glitter, shake it up, and place it in the grass outside to guide the reindeer to our apartment. The kids think it's so creative!
Ready to go with blue glitter.
Two of her favorite colors - pink and purple. We thought the reindeer would like cinnamon sugar oatmeal.
Adding in the glitter.
The kids made mention that the reindeer didn't eat much of their food, but I just explained that the food was just to guide them there, but they couldn't eat it or the glitter would make them sick.

All Aboard the Gingerbread Express
The day before Christmas Eve Dan was working and the kids and I were trying to find ways to fill the hours. What better way to do that than with an edible art project?
Kneading the icing. Some fun with the candy decorations.
Mmmmmm!!!

A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words
On Christmas Eve Lorelai received a surprise phone call from Santa Claus. I snapped pictures while she listened to him. Too adorable!

Christmas Morning Mayhem
On Christmas morning, our darling angels woke up at 5:30 am. Good grief! As soon as I positioned myself in a great place to get their expressions when they saw the tree, Dan gave them the go ahead to run out and see what Santa had left for them.
Guitars!
Monster High Clothes!
The main gift she asked for - the Monster High school!!
Miller got a talking Jake and a talking Izzy.
Power Rangers!!
The both got 4-sided Lite Brites. Where were those when we were growing up?!
Possibly Miller's favorite gift - new boots.
The one thing Miller asked Santa for - a Ninja Turtles tent!
