Egg Dyeing

So this year we had to try something new by default.  I hard boiled two dozen eggs, but there was a mishap and they fell out of the fridge and crashed on the floor.  Onto my back up plan-ready to dye eggs.

Hairnets on and ready to go.
Problem number 1 with these eggs was that they were hollow so they did not sink.  They had to be held down the whole time to make them stay submerged.

Problem number 2 was that they did not take the color very well.  As a result the kids had to keep them in the dye longer.  I think more dye got on their hands than on some of the eggs.

Taking a break to play with Abby.

 Very focused.

Budding Artists - Part 3

Lorelai and Miller used leftover packaging material from a box to make boats and baked potatoes one night.  Sadly Lorelai's boat was found to be unseaworthy but she still had fun building it.
 Ahoy, mateys!

Budding Artists - Part 2

Dan brought home some frames from work and I have been trying to figure out what to put in them.  I decided that the artwork that the kids have been bringing home from school would be perfect.  The first two are Miller's and the last on in Lorelai's.

Budding Artists-Part 1

In Lorelai's art class they had to make one of the Mice on Main.  I think she did a great job and showed amazing attention to detail.
