Dancing Darlings

After the Valentine photo shoot the kids wanted to dance around at Falls Park for a few minutes.  Lorelai started out by bowing to her prospective partner.  I told her that it was customary for the boy to bow first.

 She responded with a curtsey and they were off and running, well dancing to be exact.

During their impromptu dance recital they even got applause from some passersby who stopped on a bridge that overlooked their "dance floor."  Here they are looking up at their audience.

Vintage Valentine

This year our Valentine's Day card had a vintage feel to it (at least that was the intention).  The kids were very good sports about getting dressed up and heading down to Falls Park for one of our many yearly photo shoots.  Here are some samples of what made it on the card, as well as some pictures that ended up on the cutting room floor.

Cookie Time

On Saturday, Katie Grace came over for a play date with Lorelai and Miller.  The activity on the agenda was decorating Valentine cookies.

 Last, but not least, was Little Miss Lorelai.  I think she ate as much frosting as she put on the cookies.

She must have "forgotten" that she had already eaten a cookie earlier in the day.

Our Little Angel

This year, Lorelai's K-5 program centered around the theme of angels.  Each student dressed up as an angel and they sang songs and everyone had a speaking part.  They were precious!

After the program I snapped a few pictures.  Both grandmothers were able to come support their little angel.  She was so excited!

Another Photo Op

Two weeks ago Sierra and Chase went to church and dinner with the "Saturday Night Crew."  Here are some pictures of that fun night.

Little Architects

These pictures were taken in November 2011.  For some reason I never edited and posted them, so I thought I'd take the opportunity now to do so.  Lorelai and Miller love to build things and will use anything they can find to build the tallest tower possible.  On this particular day their "weapon of choice" was train track supports.

Enjoying the Weather

A few weeks ago Sierra and Chase came over to have a play date and to enjoy the unseasonably warm weather. 

As soon as their cousins arrived, the boys played with cars and the girls ran for the dress-up box.  We were entertained with a concert, complete with light-up microphones.

This little girl is happiest when she's performing and is the center of attention.

After the show, all of the kids went outside to draw with sidewalk chalk.  Sierra made a "best friend" heart with the girls' initials in it.

Last but not least, they made chalk outlines of each other, then drew faces on them.
